The width of the spray depends on the pressure and the height of the nozzle. I have mine set at 30 pounds of pressure and 40 inches high. I have a good even spray pattern that is 14 feet wide. A little mist goes wider, but not as heave as the 14 feet of coverage. Originally I almost sent the nozzle back, as it is very small and seems as it wouldn't do the job, glad I didn't return it, works great !!

How do you adjust the width of spary?
At about 4ft high the spray spread is about 7ft; not 15-16ft as advertized

This broadcast nozzle does not have an adjustment. It is only adjustable by the height and angle. This nozzle does require a minimal of 1 gpm at 15 psi.

I get a 12 foot wide spray with the nozzle set at 3 feet above ground level attached to a tow-behind sprayer that has a NorthStar 2.2 gallon per minute pump.
I filled my tank with water and did a test pass on dry concrete. I got full saturation 12 feet wide and saw no gaps in coverage.
I used the unit to spray a total-vegetation killer in a pasture and the results were clearly successful. There were no gaps or patches of vegetation that were not dead.
You might want to fill your tank with water, remove the hose right at the nozzle and verify you are getting the volume and pressure you expect right there at the nozzle end of the hose. Mine initially was quite low and I found a fouled in-line screen-type filter at the pump input connection and some thick gunk in my hose lines themselves. Once those were cleaned out I got the results noted above which are quite satisfactory for my purposes.Helpful?

WHAT IS THE PER ACRE FLOW OUT OF NOZZLE AT 15-20 PSI
-
notentered· 6 years ago
I have a 2.1 gpm pump that I think pumps up to about 60 psi that came on a 25 gallon spot sprayer. I adapted a Y using a cheap water hose connector with on/off on each outlet and plumbed the broadcast nozzle in using the Y connector as the shutoff. I cover roughly 2 acres overlapping slightly traveling about 4 mph. I typically use about an ounce a gallon of roundup to each tank and have good kill. Hope this helps. This is a great little nozzle. Local farm supply store had all fittings needed to plumb in fairly cheap, maybe about $20 of plastic fittings

The broadcast nozzle is not rated at a per acre flow. The nozzle will provide 1.5 GPM at 20 PSI.
