  1. what hp lawn tractor do i need to pull this lawn roller ??

    what size lawn mower do i need to tow this lawn roller ?? mine is a 18 hp craftmans.
    i have already purchased this roller from yall, it is sitting in my garage. i know, i know, should have asked before buying huh ?? lol

  2. Will the roller work well if only partially filled with sand?

    The cap is really, really difficult to tighten and remove and I'm concerned about it freezing in the winter. Alternatively, I'd like to use sand but filling it entirely will result in a weight of well over 500lbs.

    1. The roller will work just fine without being completely filled. Just make sure you fill it enough to do the job for the condition of your soil.
      You should rotate the roller every few days if leaving the sand in the roller to prevent flattening out of one side of the roller. If this should occur, you can empty the roller and set it on its side in the sun for a few days to return the roller to original shape.

    2. Hi MisterMoose,

      The roller does not need to be filled all the way. As long as the weight you add is significant enough for your soil conditions.
      You will just need enough to roll out the spot in your yard that need to be flattened. I will also suggest that if you keep the sand in the roller for a period of time that you rotate the drum every few days. If you leave the sand in the drum it could create a flat spot, if this occurs you will just need to empty the drum and set it outside on it's side and allow the heat of the sun to warm the drum and it will go back to it's original shape.
