  1. How far does the stream shoot?

    We are looking for a nozzle that will shoot high enough to reach bag worms in a pecan tree. Will this one do it?

    1. Depends upon water pressure and hose length & diameter. On a 100' 1/2" hose at 70psi it will go about 20-25'' straight up.

    2. Depending on your water pressure and the size of the tree, yes, the nozzle CAN spray a good 40+ feet with sufficient force to break into a bag formed by tent caterpillars. However, breaking the bag will merely release them to form another breeding bag, so you've accomplished nothing more than relocation unless you have birds waiting to eat the caterpillars when they're released.

    4. If you're running 50-70psi water pressure from a CITY source I can't see you having issue with reaching 40-50Ft of blasting range at the tightest setting. Then loosen the hose to the lowest setting to gently water/saturate plant life.

      I'd recommend a 5/8" hose at no more than 100-150ft of length... That's what I use, great results at a consistent 60psi source. If you have less than 40psi, I'd recommend a pressure washer, if you're on WELL water, make sure you get a sediment filter (tight mesh will work too) or you'll ruin your pressure washer.

    7. The ultimate hose nozzle will provide approximately 10 to 40 feet of stream depending on your water pressure.

    8. I tested mine spraying up into my pecan trees and by using triangulation come up with about 30 ft. A lot of variables come into play, however, including your water pressure, diameter and length of your hose, and wind velocity. My hose was 5/8" x 75 ft. and the wind was calm. Our city water pressure is about 55#.

    9. I bought this nozzle and on my towns water supply I was shooting a pretty full stream a good 40 feet.You do need good water pressure with decent GPM available.
      You didn't say how high your tree was or if you are trying to flush the worms off your tree.

  2. bon aire ultimate hose nozzle # HN-10AL I have low water pressure, will this nozzle work?

    1. These nozzles flow a lot of water. This is fine for drenching, but really won't give a very good pattern with low flow / pressure. With low flow, I've had the best luck cleaning and blasting with a non-adjustable jet stream nozzle.

    3. I have fairly high pressure and flow, when I use this nozzle it is as powerful as a low end electric power washer. It should do pretty well under low pressure, depending on just how low the pressure is.

    5. Yes, you won't get as good a performance from it as with higher water pressure but this sprayer will make the most of the pressure you do have. The only feature you'll lose is the long distance spraying. I have used it in very low pressure situations and it works well.

    6. The performance of the nozzle will vary depending on the pressure of the water source. If you have low water pressure, the nozzle will still operate however it will not perform optimally.

  3. What is the minimum pressure (psi) for this nozzle to perform as advertised?

    1. Not sure of minimum, but our town water comes in at 125psi + but is limited to 50 psi in the house. Very pleased with performance. But, even at this level there is a difference in performance (as with other nozzles) using the collapsible/stretch 25 foot hoses especially when adding a second length. There is no real good replacement for Conventional hoses, though stretch hoses have their place.

    1. Mine works well at 68-70 psi. I don't know but would guess it will work well over a wide pressure range.
