To light the heater, turn the heater regulator knob counterclockwise to the HI position. Place a lit match near the face of the heating element (mesh screen) of the burner, using the hole located on the side of the reflector. Press the button on the safety valve admitting gas to the burner. When the gas on the face of the mesh screen lights, continue pressing the valve button for 30 seconds, then release it. If it goes out, wait 5 minutes and try again.
