Product Summary

ER4043 is a general purpose type aluminum welding wire. It is one of the oldest and most widely used welding and brazing alloys. This aluminum alloy contains silicon aditives, which result in improved fluidity (wetting action) of the weld pool and also produces a weld less sensitive to cracking. ER4043 can be used to weld various grades of aluminum.

  1. Is it easily bendable with pliers? I want to use them as plant stakes, but need to make a curlicue at the end to thread gardening wire through.

    1. A TIG rod is able to be bent slightly using heat. It would not be bendable with a pliers.
