Product Summary

The Hopkins Towing Solutions LED Submersible Square Trailer Light Kit is designed to conform to applicable US FMVSS108 and Canadian CMVSS safety standards for trailers under 80in. wide. This kit is not only ideal for boat trailers, but for any utility, camping, snowmobile, and motorcycle trailer where LED lights are desired. The life of an LED trailer light far exceeds traditional incandescent trailer lights lasting up to 100,000 hours and no bulb changes. The lens is sonically sealed to provide protection from moisture and corrosion. Additionally, all electronics are potted with water-resistant resin for a second layer of defense. The 12V stop/tail/turn lights feature universal back and side mount options. Lights are individually replaceable with Blazer model numbers C7483RTM and C7493RTM. The kit includes 2 submersible stop/tail/turn lights, 20ft. wire harness, license plate bracket, mounting hardware, and trilingual instructions- everything needed for easy installation and DOT compliance.

  2. How long is the wiring harness?

    It´s the little things that can set a project back.

    1. This set has a pre-split harness so you don't have to splice from one light to the other so it should be long enough, i would think, for an 18' trailer.

    2. Didn't measure the length before I installed it, but my EZ Loader trailer is at least 22 feet long from coupler to end, and I had at least a 1.5 feet of wire to spare. Width between side rails is 66 inches.

    3. The wiring harness is 4 ft., positive wire is 20ft. and the negative is 25 ft.

    How many wires and what is the lenght of each wire can you be more desciptive than the other answes on here?

    1. 4 wires, 2 to each side and ground to the chassis and on my 5'x8' trailer, I had about 4' left on one side and 3' on the other after install. If you do not follow the frame, you can probably gain an additional foot or two as well. Note this is very common stranded auto electrical wiring and NOT anything special; extending the wiring is as simple as using butt-connectors if needed.

  4. What are the dimensions of the lights? And how do they mount to the trailer? Any manual/PDF for this kit would be helpful on the Northern site?

    1. The lights in this Blazer International LED Trailer Light Kit are 5 5/16" L x 3 1/16" D x 5 1/4" H. They would mount to your existing light location with 2-1/4" bolts that are 2" on center. Please see your installation instructions for further details.

    2. The two tail lights are square about 5.5"x5.5". They mount to the brackets on the trailer with 2 bolts each that are included with the kit.

  9. Does ground wire run to each light?

    Does the white ground wire run to each light or do the lights rely on the trailer frame for ground? (I am sick and tired of chasing bad ground induced problems.)

    1. Each light, as well as the wiring harness, features a white ground wire that is to be connected to a good ground location on the trailer using a circle connector and screw.
