    I am looking to use a jack stand as a safety device when changing a single tire on a vehicle (not for maintenance or tire rotations - only for changing a single tire in the field). The jack stand will be used in conjunction with a properly rated jack only as a safety device in case the jack slips during tire change. What is the rated capacity of a single unit?
