The heavy-duty trailer hitch adapter allows you easily to fold up your hitch-mounted carrier when not in use to save yourself the hassle of repeated removals and installations. See specs below for compatibility requirements. To determine if the Folding Hitch Adapter will work with your hitch-mounted carrier measure the distance between the end of the hitch tube and the hitch pin hole. The hitch pin hole must be no closer than 2-1/2in. from the end of the hitch and no further than 3in.     1. This adapter is designed for use with Class III or IV 2" hitch receivers, it cannot be used with a 1 1/4" receiver.
