Bioverse AquaSphere PRO® Biodegradable Water Treatment Dispensers are an all-natural dispensing system made from a corn-based resin. The dispensers introduce beneficial bacteria into the water, reducing excess nutrients and breaking down organic matter that clouds water. The AquaSphere® PRO sinks to the bottom of your water and will treat up to 12,500 gallons of water in fresh water ponds and lakes for up to 30 days. The spheres are biodegradable, making cleanup safe and easy. It's important to use the correct treatment size for your specific water feature. To calculate the size of your pond, take: Length X Width X Average Depth X 7.5 = Total Gallons. You cannot over treat water, but under treating may not yield desired results. This veterinarian-approved product is safe for livestock, wildlife, plants, pets and people.

  1. Are the bio verse aquasphere products suitable for drinking water?

    We have a cistern that we fill with spring water. In recent years we have gotten some algae growing in the cistern, and would like to find a means of controlling it without dangerous chemicals.

    2. Hello! I believe that this product (the AquaSpherePRO 12,500) would be good for you, as long as the cistern is under the 12,500 gallon dosage. Here is information on our AquaSpherePRO:
      The AquaspherePRO is an all-natural biodegradable time release sphere that continually produces bacteria and enzymes for a 30 day period. The bacteria and enzymes consume the excess nutrients in the pond that algae feed off of to survive. The AquaspherePRO cleans up the water columns and also reduces the “sludge” layer on the bottom of the pond.
      When to use the AquaspherePRO
      • If you have planktonic algae, pea soup looking water.
      • If you have sludge build up on the bottom of your pond.
      • If your pond is producing an odor.
      • In conjunction with any other Healthy Ponds product.
      • To improve water clarity
