    1. DOT approved for nonflammable fuels only — not to be connected to an existing fuel system

      I would guess that the company making this has not certified that it is safe for gasoline.

    1. The tank does not have an option for a drain plug. It is not recommended that there be any modifications done to the tank.

  4. what is the connection equipment to complete the install

    1. This tank includes the moutning hardware to mount to in the bed of a pick-up. This is designed as a transfer tank and the fuel will need to be pumped out from the top. Please view item #349007 for a tank that can be used as an auxiliary tank. The diesel install kits are optional accessories listed with that item.

    1. The tank is made of 14 gauge steel.

  7. Can this be drilled and taped for a gravity feed valve?

    1. This is designed as a transfer tank and the fuel will need to be pumped out from the top. It does not have a drain plug at the bottom to allow for gravity feed into your OEM fuel tank like an auxiliary tank has. We do not recommend that the tank be drilled into, doing so may void the warranty.
