  2. how much heat can the unit withstand?

    I need a shelter for an electric kiln for my ceramics studio.

    1. The manufacturer does not provide a heat rating for this shelter. Most of the components are metal and would be an approximate 32 gauge galvanized steel. There are rubber seals used on the exterior of the building though. Galvanized steel does not melt. Zinc melts at 788 F, and boils at 1,664.6 F. Steel melts around 2,597 to 2,822 F.

    1. A floor kit is not available for this unit. You would be able to use the ground, wood, or concrete depending on what base would be preferred.
