Is there a mount with this regulator

No. You will have to fabricate a mount or mount it to a rigid piping system. It shouldn't be mounted directly to the compressor, though - too much vibration.

There is no mounting hardware included. I used a 2 inch half moon pipe clamp from the hardware store and it works perfect. The cost is less than a dollar. I found it in the electrical supply section.

Do I plumb this model using 1/2 inch NPT nipples for both the inlet and outlet?
-
JagMods· 9 years ago
yes, it's 1/2 inch NPT on both ends. You can use a reducer to 3/8 inch for existing compressor accessories.

Will this remove oil on lines used on plasma arc cutters?
Looking for a filter regulator for use for nail drivers, carbon arc gouging and plasma arc cutters. 1/2" or 1/4" inlet and outlets

You would need to use a coalescing filter to remove oils.
IR recommends a pre-filter before the coalescing piggy back filter/regulator.Helpful?

You would need to use a coalescing filter to remove oils.
We would recommend a pre-filter before the coalescing piggy back filter/regulator.
For a ¼ unit I would use F35221-410 (filter) and the use P39223-610 coalescing piggyback filter/regulator.For the ½ unit filter F35341-410 and P39343-610.
Thank you!

Will this remove water from the air system
-
woodworker15· 14 years ago
It does remove some of the water but I would still use water traps at each location around your shop. I have a water trap or drip leg at each location around my entire shop where I tap for air and I still get water that I have to drain out regularly at each point. Sometimes if I have been running a lot of air through a certain hookup it will drain out about a ¼ cup of water or more at the end of the day and this is after it goes through this unit. If you need your air it to be really dry like for painting or something you will need to get special equipment for doing this. I just put a few drops of oil into every air tool I am using at the beginning of each day and so far so good.

The IR combination air system will remove liquid contaminants. To provide properly treated air through the system, an air dryer for the air compressor should be used.

What is the maximum input pressure? My compressor puts out 155 PSI
-
UtahJoe· 12 years ago
It's rated for 150psi, so, you would be over the maximum rating. You could, however, probably adjust your compressor's shut off switch to shut off at a lower pressure and thus not exceed the regulator's rating. Personally, I'd probably look for a reg with a higher rating - but that's just me ;)

150 psi (pounds per square inch) is the maximum pressure this regulator can handle. If the compressor exceeds 150 psi , for safety reasons, it will need to be dialed down to match the the psi requirements for the regulator.
