  1. CAN THIS SEAT BE MOUNTED WITHOUT HAVING ACCESS FROM UNDERNEATH . [FROM THE TOP] CAN THE COVERING BE REMOVED

    1. no, it only has holes in the bottom.
      You could mount it to a plate slightly wider than the seat ant then bolt down the plate.

    4. This seat can only be mounted from underneath, there is no access to mount the seat from the top. The cover cannot be removed.

  2. What is the base/shell made out of? If metal, how thick?

    1. It is a hard plastic (so that it will not rust) with metal threaded inserts for attaching with bolts.
      Measure the distance between your tractor bolt holes and check on line to see if it will match with the dimensions there. It worked great on my 580C Case backhoe.

    1. The seat does not have a safety switch cutout. See below item #53222, that would have the operator presence kill switch.

    1. The dimensions on the Black molded seat are 22.75"L X 20"W X 21.5" . The depth and width of where one sits would be 15" deep x 17" wide. The mounting patterns are 8" X 11-1/2" AND 11-1/4" X 11-1/2".

    can this me modified to fit a cub cadet lawn tractor?

    1. This high back universal seat is built to fit a variety of different applications.

      In the past I have had customers modify a mounting plate to make a seat fit their specific application, there are two 4 bolt mounting patterns listed as follows...

      8 inches by 11-1/2 inches and 11-1/4 inches by 11-1/2 inches.
