    what material makes up the main mounting base that the bolt go into>

    1. Seat frame is a tough molded plastic; the main mounting bolt threads into a steal bracket underneath the plastic seat frame. All the other various mounting holes have threaded steel inserts (presumably for various safety switches).

    what is the mounting bracket spacing on this seat? I have a hyster forklift I need a seat for, if this will bolt on.

    1. It should.it has lots of mounting holes.with dilfferant
      patterns.

    1. 5/16 standard thread

    2. This seat has multiple mounting patterns and some use different size bolts. The bolt sizes are 5/16"-18 UNC, 1/2"-13 UNC and 3/8"-16 UNC.

  6. Could this be mounted on 6 inch X 8 inch bracket?

    1. the bottom of the seat has lots of universial bolt patterns. mine did not line up with any of the holes. I had to do modifications to the bracket, drilled some new holes in the tractor seat bracket..

    1. You would need to check the mounting dimensions on your seat against the mounting dimensions we have listed on this seat. It has multiple mounting options and can be viewed by clicking on the row of pictures to the left of the seat and going to the last picture in the row.

  10. will this seat hold up in cold weather, will it crack like my jd seat? i push snow with it also.

    1. The seat will hold up in most cold weather situations. It can become brittle during winter if left outdoors for long periods of time.
