How often do you need to change the filters when painting
Most of the reviews were for dust and organic fumes. How well does this unit work when used in a painting environmentand how often should the filters be changed out. Thanks

There really is no set time limit on these. When you start to smell some of the fumes then you will need to change the filter.

Proper Mask for Task
The fireplace in our house dumps to the basement and the ashes need to be cleaned out. I am not sure which mask is the best choice for my job. I also pick up quite a few leaves in the fall with my mulcher and that creates plenty of fine dust also. Would like one mask for all if possible.

Ashes, dust, and mold from leaves are among the least toxic or dangerous of things normally used to protect a person from with this type of mask. Any respirator can protect from these type. Another choice which would work is listed below.

Will this be suitable for sandblasting and/or powdercoating applications? Will this protect against sillicosis? Thanks!
1 answer-
ProductExpert6· 15 years ago
This respirator would not be the recommended unit for all these applications. It would be good for painting and varnishing. For sandblasting, sanding, sawing a better choice would be item #547000 against dust type particles.
