Product Summary

The Powermatic, 209BHH-4, PM1-480, 20in. planer is built for shops operating on 460V, 3 PH Power. Driven by a 5 HP motor, it delivers the strength and reliability required for continuous production use. With a 20in. cutting width and 8in. maximum thickness capacity, this planer efficiently handles large panels and thick stock. A four row helical cutterhead equipped with 68 four sided inserts running at 5200 RPM ensures smooth, consistent finishes with reduced noise and simplified maintenance, while accessible cutterhead design minimizes downtime during insert changes. Dual feed speeds of 16 and 28 FPM and a built in digital readout support both precision finishing and efficient material removal. Heavy cast iron tables and a full 51-1/2in. table surface provide stability and vibration reduction, and a 4in. dust port with a 900 CFM requirement supports effective chip evacuation. The upgraded caster locking and braking system and oversized emergency stop further enhance usability and safety in demanding shop environments.
