You’ll also want to make sure that the pad or brush installed on your scrubber is the right kind for the floor material. The same pad or brush that works on concrete may harm your wood floor.

If you find that it’s really tough to reach some areas of your floor with your scrubber, then don’t waste time trying. Instead use your scrubber on the largest, dirtiest areas that you can reach effectively and then do touchups with a mop or handheld brush or pad.
