Walk Behind Mowers
Choose from our wide selection of walk-behind mowers. Constructed with durability in mind, these mowers have the versatility to handle any yard. Maintaining a tidy lawn takes work, but the job is made easier and more efficient with a quality walk-behind lawn mower. Look no further than Northern Tool + Equipment for your walk-behind mower shopping! We carry top brands including Troy-Bilt, Greenworks, and Earthwise, among others.
Our selection includes three types of mowers: push, electric, and gas-powered. Each type has pros and cons as well as different price points and maintenance needs. Push mowers, or reel mowers, feature horizontally fixed blades arranged helically. These mowers require manual power and cut grass like a scythe as the tool is pushed forward. Push mowers are incredibly quiet, emission free, and easy to store. Electric mowers are also emission free which is just one reason they have increased in popularity. While they are not as quiet as a push mower, they produce far less noise than their gas-powered counterparts. Electric mowers operate via plug-in power or battery. Battery-powered units offer more freedom than corded, which often require the use of additional extension cords to reach all parts of the lawn. Gas mowers support larger deck sizes which, as we know, makes for faster cutting. This level of power also allows gas mowers to cut dense grasses and traverse more easily across uneven terrain.
