  2. What are the dimensions without the wheel kit? , going in a trailer and we have limited space.

    1. The manufacturer does not provide dimensions on the generator with out the wheel kit. The overall dimensions are 27.2" L x 27" W x 26.5" H. The overall length with the handle extended is 45.5". The packing dimensions are 28.5" L x 21.7" W x 28.3" H.

    1. This generator does not have an oil filter.

  4. does it have a governor to regulate engine speed? or does it always run full speed regardless of the electrical load

    1. It does adjust by the electrical load. At 25% load, the run time is 15 hours. At 50% load, the run time is 10 hours.

    1. This generator will not work with an automatic transfer switch. See our item #63261 that would work for a portable generator up to 8000 watts.

  9. What size cord do I need to run the GP8000E? Every 30amp cord is only rated for up to 7500 watts. This generator runs at 8000 watts.

    1. The largest cord you can use with this generator is a 30 Amp cord. These are rated up to 7500 watts. Please view item 49559 for a model that we offer.

  10. How do you drain gas for storage?

    1 answer

    1. Turn the fuel valve to On to drain the rest of the fuel from the generator. Reconnect the fuel line, close the lid on the fuel tank and put the cover back on. Find the carburetor using your generator's manual and remove the bolt. Let any remaining gas run out into the container.
