Product Summary

This Mr. Heater Liquid Propane Convection Heater packs a big punch in a small package. It utilizes the natural act of warm air rising to quickly heat up to 625 sq. ft. Equipped with a thermo-electric safety valve to shut the gas flow off if the flame ever goes out. Just hook up the supplied 10ft. propane hose and regulator assembly to a 20-lb. propane tank, and easily light the heater with the factory-installed Piezo igniter to enjoy the comforts of up to 17 hours of warmth tailgating or on the jobsite. No electricity required.

  1. Can this heater be attached to a 1/2” stubbed out connection intended for propane grill plumbed to the propane supply for the house?  Will this heater switch to pilot only once at a certain room temp based on the output adjustment?

    1. This is only recommended to be used with a portable LP tank. The maximum size tank that should be used with this heater is a 40 lb tank. This heater is not thermostatically controlled. It will continue to run until it is manually turned off.

    1. This heater has a knob which allows the user to adjust the output from low to high. The output ranges from 15,000 BTU to 25,000 BTU.

  5. What is direct venting?

    1. Direct venting means the heater requires outside air for combustion instead of air from with in the home. The model number MH25CVX is not direct vent heater. It does not require the heater to be vented out the wall or ceiling. The heater will require adequate ventilation of at least 2ft square opening near the floor and ceiling.

    1. This is not adjustable to 50,000 BTU's. The max BTU rating is 25,000.

    1. This heater includes a 10 foot propane hose and regulator. Replacement parts can be purchased directly through the manufacturer.

  8. how to light

    1. The manual states the following to light this heater:
      1. WARNING: BEFORE LIGHTING PILOT, turn main burner
      valve (turn knob fully clockwise) to low/light position.
      2. Fully open the valve on the propane cylinder and wait 15
      seconds before Step 3.
      3. Push knob in and hold for 5 seconds, allowing gas to emit
      from burner orifice.
      4. Rotate the knob counterclockwise until the piezo igniter
      clicks. Continue to rotate and activate the igniter until the
      burner lights.
      5. Once the burner lights hold the knob in, on the low
      position for 30 seconds. Then release. The burner should
      stay lit. If it does not repeat steps 4&5 until the burner
      stays lit.
      6. Turn main burner valve to regulate heat output.
