Product Summary

This Ironton® stick welder is a versatile choice that delivers performance and value. The Arc 200 can weld mild steel up to 3/8in. thick on a single pass, but it also features amperage adjustment that can be dialed down to handle thinner, more delicate materials as well. It's portable too, with handles and wheels for easy maneuverability in the shop. Plus this welder is packed with safety features to prevent overheating and give you peace-of-mind with every use.

What's Included
  • (1) Arc welder
  • (1) Welding cable with electrode holder
  • (1) Ground cable and clamp
Easy to use

Easy to Use — Ready for Action

Ready to Use Right Out of the Box

It doesn't matter whether you're a complete novice or an experienced welder, this easy-to-use unit not only offers incredible value, but is ready to go right out of the box. The Arc 200 includes a 10-ft. welding cable and electrode holder, 6 1/2-ft. ground cable and clamp, plus an 80in. power cord. Just add some stick electrodes and you're in business.

Powered for Top Results

This isn't your run-of-the mill 115V machine. The beefed up Arc 200 is powered by a 230V, 50A circuit. The power cord is equipped with a NEMA 6-50P plug that requires a NEMA 6-50R receptacle, which is a fairly common outlet in most shop environments, drawing approximately 41 Amps at 230V.

The Ultimate in Voltage Control

Infinite Voltage Control means you can adjust your amperage from 65 to 200 and anywhere in-between. The Arc 200 has an easy-to-access dial adjustment right on top of the machine that helps you tweak your amperage to just the right amount. Better control gives you better welds.

Built-In Portability

For ease of use and to help move the welder closer to your project, the Arc 200 comes with a built-in cart and handle, so it's a breeze to move the unit from point A directly to your project.

Tough, Capable and Versatile

Ready to Handle the Tough Projects

The Arc 200 is a great machine to have around for a variety of jobs. With 200 Amps AC output you can weld materials up to 3/8 in. thick in a single pass. Yet, you also have the capability to dial the machine down to 65 Amps for those thinner jobs. Use anywhere from a 1/16in. rod up to a 5/32in. rod. For best results, we recommend a 6013 welding rod.

Works With a Variety of Materials

You’re sure to appreciate the versatility of the Arc 200 — it allows you to weld sheet metal, steel, stainless steel, cast iron and hard surfacing material with ease.

Performance on the Go

You can’t always bring your project to your welder, so the Arc is designed to perform where and when you need it, even in wind! From in-shop welding to compatibility with 230V power generators for use in the field, you’ll appreciate the freedom and flexibility.

Detail Work on Your Prized Possessions

If you’re looking to restore that prized old car or take care of your own body work, the excellent Arc characteristics ensure quality welds. No matter how delicate or how tough the project may be, you’ll be able to weld with confidence.

Safety Matters

No Overheating

Whether you're welding on a hot day or trying to complete an extensive welding project, the thermal overload protection ensures that your welder will stay safe no matter how hard you run it. A built-in thermostat prevents the unit from overheating, delaying welding power until the unit has sufficiently cooled. It also has a built-in thermal overload protection light for quick troubleshooting.

Stays Safely Grounded

To further protect the user against improper usage, the Arc 200 requires the included ground clamp to be properly secured before the unit will operate. If the ground clamp comes loose, the unit safely and immediately shuts down.
