  1. Will this work for automotive coolant?

    1. The Zee Line Oil Pump could not be used with automotive coolant. It would cause the pump to rust.

  2. Your product description says this is for oil. Is there any reason it wouldn't work for other liquids of similar viscosity?

    We manufacture a water-based urethane and are looking for a way to pump it directly from a 55-gallon drum into 1-gallon pails. We already have a decent sized air compressor. Would this pump work for us or do you have other recommendations? Thanks

    1. This pump is only designed for oil. Other liquids of similar viscosity could cause rust and the seals on this pump are only designed to handle oil. I would suggest a chemical pump and will list one possible solution below.

  3. OK, great. Now what is a "Power Valve", and why would I need it?

    1. The power valve greatly reduces risk of spills and waste if you were pumping oil into a container before putting it into a vehicle. Opposed to model number 1712 which would pump directly into a vehicle from the pump.

  4. What is the difference between this and your #1090561?

    1. The difference between the 2 pumps is item number 1090561 is the pump only where as item number 109638 is the pump plus the power valve.
