Product Summary

UPG’s Universal line of Power GEL batteries are built for powering your work, as well as your adventures. They are very resistant to vibration, shock, heat, and chemicals. Their design means you have power longer; with a lower self discharge. GEL Unique design and manufacturing makes them exceptionally leak resistant, even upside down. Being smaller and lighter, they can be installed at an odd angle if needed. GEL batteries do a better job of holding a static charge longer, making it an upgrade from a convention flooded cell battery. DOT 60 classified, UL recognized. Reliable power in all applications. GEL batteries are lead – acid and of the same chemistry but the electrolyte is stabilized differently. In GEL batteries the electrolyte is suspended in fiberglass mat separators which act as absorbent sponges. GEL batteries are sealed, and maintenance free.
