    Will I have to have a pickup to transport this from the store? What is the package dimensions?

    1. Yes, it will need to go in the bed or assemble it in the parking lot.

    2. The package size is 63.38" in length by 33.78" in width and 7.80" in height. A pickup would be the most convenient way to load the item if there would not be enough space in a car.

  2. Does the ramp fold?

    1) Does the ramp fold in half for less obtrusive storage while traveling with a load on the rack?
    2) does the ramp fold flat to the carrier deck when there is no load?

    1. No the ramp does not fold in half.
      Yes the ramp nestles inside the carrier when stored and locks in place so when the carrier is pivoted to storage position it does not flop around.

    2. The ramp on this carrier does not fold in half while traveling with a load. It will fit into the the carrier deck when the carrier is empty.

  5. Are these legal? They cover up the rear license plate. Can’t you get pulled over and get a ticket for that?

    1. Using this cargo carrier is legal; however, it must be used in compliance with state-specific regulations, such as maintaining visibility of lights and the license plate.

  6. Is there a side barrier that can be attached to hold in cargo when the ramp is folded flat or detached?

    1. At this time, we do not offer an alternative barrier to connect to the carrier when the ramp is folded in or detached. We do not recommend adding one as modifications would void the warranty.

    1. This cargo carrier is designed with a foldable tube, that allows the carrier to be folded into an upright position when it is not in use.

  8. Can I use a tow hitch extender instead of the foldable one that comes with the cargo carrier?

    1. This cargo carrier has been designed and tested specifically with the foldable tube. If the tube extension is altered, we cannot guarantee the capacity of the carrier, and the warranty will be void.
