This Troy-Bilt Wood Chipper/Shredder lets you create mulch and compost easily. This heavy-duty, high-performance tool can turn 10 bags of yard waste into one, and turns twigs and branches under 2in. into fine wood chips. Feed all twigs, sticks and branches under 3in. in diameter into the chipper chute and get wood chips in return. Drop leaves and other small debris into the steel hopper and get mulch or compost. With a powerful Briggs & Stratton engine and heavy-duty construction, this chipper/shredder can cut any big job down to size.

    1. The chipper/shredder is 4 cycle. The recommended engine oil is SAE30W.

    1. The chipper/shredder may kick out shreds if there is anything left below the blades or trap area in the hopper.

  4. I'm looking for a shredder/chipper that can handle yard waste such as flower debris (stalks, leaves, flowers) from my perennial flower beds - is this a good machine for this purpose? Should flower stalks be put through the shredder or the chipper?

    1. Any yard debris and waste up to 2" in diameter can go in to the hopper to be shredded. Damp material may not come out as shredded as dry material.

    1. It is not recommended to sharpen the chipper or flail knives. It will effect the balance of the blades.
