    1. if you are looking for floor jacks, then you are lifting vertically but you can operate these horizonally also as any bottle jack, just make sure you are set up securely and safely.

  3. What is Your Definition of "Ramp Travel" in Bottle Jack?

    I would like to know the definition of "Ramp Travel" that you use in your product description of bottle jack like this one:

    I need to know this because a lot of vendors _exclude_ the 2" to 3" screw top adjustment in the Minimum Lift Height, and then _include_ that screw top adjustment in the Maximum Lift Height. This exaggerates the total distance (Ramp Travel) that the bottle jack can lift, and caused me to order the wrong product. What I need to know is the lift height a bottle jack can lift without adjusting the screw top of the bottle jack. Please let me know. Thanks.

    1. The hydraulic portion of the Torin jack has a travel distance of 6 5/16 inches. With a screw adjustment of 2 3/8 inches that get a total of 9 1/16 inches.
