    what is the dimension between the forks and are they adjustabel?

    Can it be used for removing an outdrive???

    1. YES. THATS WHAT WE USE THEM FOR. FITS ALL TYPES.

    2. The are adjustable. I feel it is designed to remove outdrives, not so much outboards. It will lift an outboard but you need to be able to control the outboard. Being top heavy it is really a two person job, or three if it is a super big one. JMO

    3. Yes, it can be used to remove sterndrives/outdrives. I used it to remove my Volvo Penta DP-SM outdrives from my boat. The distance between the forks are adjustable and in fact can "clamp" onto the drive to hold it securely.

    4. This boat engine jack has an inside fork distance of 3-11/16" at its narrowest to 10" at its widest position. There are no specifics regarding using this jack for outdrive removal.

  2. There are several different types of boat engines. Is this jack specifically designed for outboards?

    1. No not really. Better suited for outdrives IMO. Being top heavy an outboard would need at least one other person to control the motor. JMO.

    2. I used it to remove my Volvo Penta sterndrives so it can do both. Be sure to look at the minimum clearance and maximum lift height to ensure it will suit your needs.

    1. The product manual is posted on the site. The jack is made from solid steel and is pretty heavy at around 160lbs.
