    2. No light from the camera is emitted when taking pictures. There is a light on the video recorder to let you know when the camera is on.

  2. What is the day time viewing distance of the camera?

    Is the 250-10 sec AVI the last 250 or a total of 250 then it stops recording?
    What is the P/N for the additional camera?

    1. You can set the AVI to stops recording or loop over and record over. AVI video files record only when motion is detected. The extra camera is model # sw231wcx.

    2. You can record up to 250 video clips or 2000 still photos on the card and then it will stop recording. Any motion will trigger 10 seconds of video or still picture at 3 second intervals. You can add any additional wired Swann camera to work with the recording kit.

    I am familiar with the Swann Outback and was wondering how this model compares to it.
    Is there any kind of a delay on this model? On the Swann Outback there seemed to be a delay between sensing the motion and recording.
    What is the min and max range for a moving object to trip the motion sensor? What about vertically?

    1. The sensitivity to motion can be adjusted on this camera, with setting #1 being the most sensitive and #16 being the least. The maximum range that is will detect motion is 65 feet. As long as the motion is within the frame of the camera, either vertically or horizontally and falls within the 65 feet, the camera would start recording without any delay.

    1. Per the manual this kit has a maximum transmission range up to 165 feet. The typical range is 65 feet.

  10. how clear is the pictures at night and at day time

    1. The picture has a standard quality with 330 TV lines and infrared LEDS to see up to 16ft. in the dark. The picture will look better at night with additional lighting. When you use the inferred alone it will show up as black and white.
