    can you get more sizes for the tool? Like 5/16-18 & 5/16-24?

    1. I'm sure you can, you have to find the same size threaded head for that rivet tool, that will fit that rivet size.

    1. Steel inserts can be used with this Surebonder threaded insert tool. It sets 6-32, 8-32, 10-24, and 1/4-20 sized rivets. Please see my recommendation below for 1/4-20 steel threaded inserts that we offer for this tool:

    How thick of the material can these be installed in?

    1. Item # 55868 includes the 6-32, 8-32, 10-24, and 1/4-20 sized rivets. The 10-24 handles 0.027-0.130 thickness, 6-32 handles 0.027-0.080 thickness, the 8-32 handles 0.027-0.080 thickness, and the 1/4-20 sized rivets handle 0.27-0.165 thickness.

  7. What material are the insert made from?

    Are the inserts aluminum or steel? Is it OK to use stainless fasteners? Should I use carbon steel screws?

    1. The Surebonder Threaded Insert Tool does not include the inserts. It can be used to set 6-32, 8-32, 10-24, and 1/4-20 sized rivets into sheet metal, plastic, and fiberglass.
