    1. The Soleus portable air conditioner does need to be vented out of a window. There is a five foot long venting hose that comes with it. This is to get rid of the heat that is produced. The water will evaporate depending on the humidity level. There is also a drain on the back of the unit to get rid of the water.

    1. There are many intervals that can interfere with the ability of this unit to cool. For example; how much sun the room receives as well as the amount of insulation the room has. With this said, an 8000 BTU air conditioner will cool approximately a 250 sq ft room.
