How long can the unit provide 6 KWatts of power when fully charged?
1 answer-
ProductExpert9· 9 years ago
This unit has a 4KW inverter so it would only be able to provide 6kw at a surge for about 30 seconds. If you had two units it would provide 6KW for about 1.5 hours.

so if the charge controller does not produce any power how does the supplied batteries get charged
1 answer-
ProductExpert11· 10 years ago
The charge controller included with this SolarPod system doesn't charge the batteries on its own. It controls/regulates the power that is produced by the solar panels. The charge controller prevents the batteries from being overcharged and also discharging at night. The solar panels are connected to the charge controller which is connected to the batteries.

how many amps does the charge controller produce and can you hook up a generator to this system
1 answer-
ProductExpert6· 10 years ago
The charge controller does not produce any power or amps. It simply protects the battery from being overcharged by the power produced through the solar panels. The system is a stand alone power system and is not designed to be connected to a generator. The system produces power generated by the sun.

Can this be tied into the grid?
Will it also serve as a backup if the power is out? SolarPod standalone modular system. model 1005
1 answer-
ProductExpert40· 12 years ago
This unit is designed as a stand-alone system for powering locations such as remote cabins which are not tied to the grid and have no electricity. It therefore cannot be tied to the grid. It would not provide enough power to power a house in the event of a power outage and does not have the ability to automatically take over the power in a house or building when power goes out.
