  1. Can you take the Vac unit off the Lid and put on a 30 gallon lid

    Can you take the vac off the lid and put on a 30 gallon lid? because I can't fit a 55 gallon drum in my trailer.

    1. It is not recommended and it would void your warranty.

    2. We would not recommend that change, however if you choose to do that it would void your warranty on the head assembly.

  3. Can this item be placed onto and used on a 55 gallon plastic rubbermaid drum with a diameter of 22.5" without any extra equipment?

    1. This Shop-Vac Industrial Heavy-Duty Wet/Dry Vacuum Head Assembly is designed for use on metal 55 gallon drums only.

    2. It is meant to be used on a metal 55 gallon drum. A plastic container will implode because of the CFM of this head assembly.

  5. can you buy a wand for this vac?

    We've already bought 4 of these and they work great but we had to steal a wand off of a small shop vac. If your going to be vacuuming up 55 gallons of water it would be nice to have a say, 4 or 5 foot long wand with a squeegee on it.

    1. This unit does not come with a wand, but you can purchase an 1.5" wand from the manufacturer directly.

    1. This product is not designed to work on a plastic drum. It is intended to be used on a metal 55 gallon drum barrel with an inside diameter of 22.5".
