    3. This chain saw sharpener is a 12 volt unit. It doesn't come with a 120 volt AC adapter. Click the links below to view bench-mount sharpeners that are 120 volt. Northern Tool doesn't carry a 120 volt bar-mount sharpener.

  2. will it only sharpen .325 &404 pitch chains? why?

    1. I have used this grinder to sharpen many different sizes. So far it has worked on all of them just fine. I am using the one I just bought to sharpen a large Buck Saw chain. It is .985 pitch. I did have to file down the bracket inside the bar slot to fit the thicker bar but it works great.

    2. This bar mount chainsaw sharpener is designed to handle only a 3/16" grinder wheel for its portability. It will also handle a 3/8" pitch chain. The .325, .404 and 3/8 pitches are the most common size chains.

    Will this work on (i.e. "sharpen") 3/8, low profile (LP) chain that I currently sharpen with a 5/32 file???
