  1. Can this saw complete a 24" rip cut in one pass?

    Can this saw complete a 24" rip cut in one pass, or does the tile need to be turned around to complete the cut?

    1. Reference page 7 of the QEP product manual. This saw can only rip cut 24" if the cut is 10" wide or less. The max length it can rip cut a square tile is 20." This saw cannot rip cut a 24" square tile in half. This saw is limited to diagonally cut a 14" tile in half. That cut is just less than 20."

  2. Is there laser siting and would this saw be good for smaller 4" tiles

    1. No laser site, but table is very stable for siting cuts.
      Great for 4" tile....the large blade will go thru quick!

    2. The QEP Dual-Speed Tile Saw can be used to cut marble, granite, stone, porcelain & masonry products, but would have only a maximum depth of 3-1/4 inches.

  4. Can you cut through a six inch block

    Cutting through half way then flipping it over and cutting it a second time to get all the way through.

    1. This tile saw has a 3-1/4" cutting depth. It will not cut all the way through a 6" block in one pass.

  5. How can I get a table extension for this unit?

    I have the QEP Dual-Speed Tile Saw — 10in. I understand there is an optional table extension for large tile. I have not been able to locate it in your catalog. Could you let me know the order number for this part and its price?

    1. Northern Tool & Equipment does not offer a table extension for this tile saw. It would have to be purchased through the manufacturer.

  8. QEP # 60020 what kind of blade?

    I ordered this saw from you. I know it comes with a 10" blade, but what kind. I will be cutting, travertine 16x16 and 6x6 on a diagonal. Also will be ripping 12x12 granite tiles, will this blade give me superior performance? I was thinking of buying a premium blade for the saw, but I don't know what kind. Thank you.

    1. The QEP Dual-Speed Tile Saw comes with a 10" diameter continuous rim wet diamond blade with a 5/8" diameter arbor. DO NOT use segmented blades, "turbo" blades, wood sawing blades, blades with openings, or any other cutting device with this tile saw.
