Generally speaking, yes, it probably can. You will need to put one high-demand item, like the sump pump, and one low-demand item, like the freezer, on one circuit leg, and the other two on the other leg. You may need to avoid running both items at the same time on the same circuit to avoid overload in the circuit. One way to be sure about this is to look up how many watts of power each item you want to run demands in order to do its job. As long as the two items per circuit do not demand more than 1550 watts to run continuously, you are good to go. If they exceed 1550 watts, you will need to run them one at the time on each circuit.

It is hard to say without knowing the draw of each item. My Powerhorse 4000 watt generator ran both circulation fans for our forced air heaters in my home as well as both refrigerators we have. I recommend checking the draw of each item you want to power, add them up ,and see if it exceeds the capacity of the generator.

This generator will not run all of those items at the same time. You will need to know the wattage requirement of all the appliances you want to run to determine the correct size generator to purchase. Please view our Generator Buyers Guide at: http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/buyers-guides_generators for more information on how to determine which generator will work for you.

Will this power a 15 amp 120 volt refrigerator and two standard 75 Watt bulbs? What does the 13.5 amp button on the control panel do? Thanks.
-
RobinSoutheastPA· 13 years ago
I have run two side by side refrigerators and an upright freezer from this generator as well as a number of light circuits in my house all at the same time with this generator and it handled this with no problem. As all ready answered, the 13.5 amp button is a circuit breaker.

This Powerhorse portable generator will produce enough power for a 15 amp 120 volt refrigerator and 2 standard 75 watt bulbs. The 13.5 amp buttons on the control panel are circuit breakers.

Idle control
Does this product have Idle Control or does it have to run full throttle all the time?
-
Dual500· 12 years ago
No idle control. It's quiet though, as quiet as the smaller Inverter type units. While it runs at speed all the time, fuel consumption is largely a factor of load. Not much to be gained with an idle control on a rig like this - more cost and little in the way of noise reduction as it's a pretty quiet machine and little in the way of fuel economy.
For me I wanted bare bones reliability and value - that's what this machine offers.

Is the one 120/ 240 outlet both? Video only says it is a 120 v Locking.
The video mentions that 120/240 volt outlet as being a locking 120 outlet. Video doesn't say if 240 is available.

There is a rocker switch. You can generate either 110 v or 240 volt, but not both at the same time.
The locking 120v simply refers to the type of plug, which is standard and can be found anywhere.

Will my standard 30A camper trailer cable plug right in to the generator or do I need an adapter plug?
-
RobinSoutheastPA· 13 years ago
The generator accepts a NEMA L14-30R twist lock plug. Not having a camper I do not know if this is the standard for campers but if it is, you should have no problem.

Yes, this generator will work for you. The Ingersoll Rand 2-HP Twin-Stack Air Compressor(item #154220) draws 15 amps at 120 volts. Watts = amps x volts, so it needs 1800 watts.
