  1. Does the Poulan Pro Pole Saw model #PP338PT come with the pole extension it is showing in the picture for a full 12' reach?

    1. Yes. It comes with the extension.

    2. yes, but the saw is not 12' long, it assumes some arm length, and all of the homeowner versions and some commercial models advertise the same way. It's deceptive, but uniform. I seem to remember this model is a bit more than 9'.

    3. This comes with a shaft length of 52", and the operating height is approximately 12 feet.

  2. Can the chainsaw be detached and used as a chain saw?

    1. No. It's powered by the engine and has to be mounted on the shaft of the unit to work.

    I'm mostly interested in a hedge trimming attachment.

    1. I have used other attachments from different brands but use your own judgment. I already owned the attachments and they fit without an issue.

    Also can you buy a brush cutter attachment for it...??

    1. You may purchase a brush cutter attachment directly through Poulan. They do not offer a 10" or 12" bar and chain for this unit, but it will accept one that you should be able to find locally.

  8. What is the size or the chain,1/4", 3/8" etc.?
