  1. How would this work in a lower level that is already humid? I am assuming it would add to the dampness problem.

    1. Working inside a car with unit aimed in an open door, dew point at 69 and a ambient temp of 86 it was much better than just a fan. The lower the dew point the better the performance.

    2. For optimum performance, the temperature should be 85 degrees F or higher and the relative humidity should be below 75%.

  2. Can this be used in an out door church service.

    1. yes it can be used outdoors. we use it on drilling locations across the world.

  3. How does it affect ambient humidity?

    1. it will increase humidity as it works by evaporating water in air

    2. This product cools by injecting a measured amount of moisture into the air. In a humid environment, a lower setting would be used for optimal operation. A higher setting is used for dryer areas.

  4. If you don't have access to a water hose, how long will it operate on the 16 gallon resevoir?

    1. Depends on your fan setting, on high you may get a couple of hours. On low, three to four.

    2. Depending on the temperature and the humidity, the water in the reservoir could last anywhere between 2-6 hours. It is recommended that a water supply be readily available or that the water level be closely monitored.

    1. On the high setting, noisy. On low, not too bad.

  6. I have a machine shop .Will it put moister in the air and rust the machines.

    1. These units may cause moister to build up on windows and other objects. How much is depending on the elements its being used in. High humidity hard water may increase the moister created. However, this moister should not cause rust to build up on machines.

  8. Outdoor Usage

    Would this unit be better suited for outdoor usage, compared to a Misting Fan (18" or 24", TPI or Luma), when using in a potentially humid environment such as Kentucky? I am needing a way to keep a small construction site cooled down in this 100 degree heat for a couple of workers.

    1. The Port-A-Cool Cyclone 3000 would be more ideal for a small outdoor construction site rather then a misting fan. This Port-A-Cooler can help cool approximately 700 square feet. It can lower the air temperature up to 30°F. With higher humidity it may lower the temperature 15°F-25°F.

  9. How much power does it require

    for fan, and pump.

    Any estimates on BTU removal equivalent to standard A/C units, assuming some standard humidity and temperature levels?
