    1. chain and chain binder. pallet forks only if you want the extra reach.

      You will enough log chain to wrap around your bucket and a Binder Both are sold at Northern They can reccommend the correct size

  2. It sounds like this attaches directly to your loader bucket with just a chain and binder sold seperately. Is this correct or is there any thing else r

    1. that is exactly right. I had to get a binder that would fit. It's a function of the size of the bucket (the opening, not the width)

    2. You are correct. My hookup on a 60hp Kubota required 9' of 3/8 chain and a binder to snug it up. That was it.

    3. To attach this to your loader bucket only a chain and binder are required, there is nothing else you would need.

  3. Is the quick spade combo the only one that will fit my bucket. What is difference between quick spade and quick spade combo ? ?

    1. yes . the combo goes on the bucket directly, or on pallet forks. The other product (not combo) doesn't go on the bucket itself, only on forks.

    2. The quick spade should be used on standard size forks measuring 4-1/2" wide x 1-5/8" thick and the combo spade should be used on forks measuring 4 1/2" wide and 1 11/16" thick.
      The difference between the quick spade combo is that it measures 35"L X 20"W X 3"H and the quick spade measures 22"L X 20"W X 2.5"H.

  4. How thick of a bucket can it clamp to? I have a heavy duty 4-way bucket with 1" thick bottom lip.

    1. The space where the bucket will sit is tapered from 3" down to 0". The tightening mechanism will be done by a load or chain binder.

  5. How big a tractor do you need to make this work/. I have a 23 hp kubota with a 4’ bucket.

    1. This quick spade combo is designed for use with skid steers and tractors with 30 HP or more. We cannot recommend it for anything less than 30 HP.

  6. What is the thickness of the mounting gap? I have an extra cutting bar on the bucket lip to stengthen it and it may be too thick to mount the spade.

    1. The thickness (or height) of the mounting gap is 1-11/16 inches.

  7. I have a tooth bar on my bucket. Will I still be able to attach the spade to my bucket?

    1. This is designed to attach to a standard straight edge bucket or forks. You would need 20" of space between the teeth if you have a tooth bar to be able to attach the spade.

  8. Can I put this on forks that I have attached to the lip of my loader bucket?

    I have the Quick Spade Combo but need to dig deeper. Naturally, I thought I could just buy a pair of bucket forks and attach the QSCombo to it. However, I wonder if the additional leverage will damage the lip of my loader bucket.

    1. This spade attachment does fit on standard forks. Your concern is valid about bending the lip of your bucket with such extended leverage. It is recommended that this be used only as a single attachment (as opposed to being an attachment to another attachment).

  10. What is the width and height of the mounts on this spade so i can be sure my loader lip blade & loader forks will fit? Thanks

    My loader forks are 4"widex2"thick. Lip of loader is just under 2" thick.
