    I'm comparing Model# 1578173 to Model# 1578112.. The only real difference I see is the pump. For a residential user who will use the pressure washer heavily for short periods of time (like all weekend twice a year), is the pump that much better for the $150...

    1. Both of the pressure washers are considered professional units and the CAT pump is the most preferred by professionals. With the amount of use you are describing the NorthStar pump on #1578173 would be ideal for heavy residential use.
