This NorthStar® ATV Boom Conversion Kit gives you a 15ft. spray pattern that covers large areas fast. Kit quickly attaches to ATV hitches more easily than rack mount kits. 1in. square tube upright is pivot-mounted to accommodate hitches that are angled down. Four 1.5 fan nozzles with anti-drip strainers provide even chemical distribution. Mount brackets have a powder-coat finish to resist corrosion. U.S.A.

  1. Can you have one side or the other spray--not both?

    Can you set this to spray say the right side only when spraying a fence row or does both right and left spray all the time?

    1. Not the way it comes, but I modified mine by installing some shutoff valves down on the arms so I could do exactly the same thing you want to do. I bought all the valves and whatnot from Northern also.

    2. This boom conversion kit includes a valve to turn the boom on or off, but it does not have left or right control.

  2. Does this kit work with other sprayers?

    I got a sprayer from my grandfather, not totally sure the brand. This sprayer does not have a boom on it and was wondering if this kit would work?

    1. Yes it should. Just hook the tubing to the pump and you should be in business. Nozzles do great but they do drip.

    2. Yes, it is possible that this boom conversion kit could be used on another brand of sprayer, however Northern Tool and Equipment cannot guarantee fitment on brands other than Northstar.

  3. what gpm pump is required for this boom sprayer

    1. This Northstar conversion kit requires a 2.2 gpm pump.

    2. With the design of this boom sprayer, it can work with both NorthStar and other ATV sprayers without any problems or additional parts. The gpm on the pump is irrelavant because the spray nozzles will only spray a designated amount of liquid per minute. If you have a pump that exceeds or is less than the gallons per minute, it will still work without any problems.
