Product Summary

The Nature Power Solar Home and RV Portable Backup Power Kit is an independent power system with a built-in inverter. The system converts energy from a 12V sealed lead acid battery (included) into usable AC power that can be used to run lights, TVs, alarm systems, computers or more when there’s no other power available. Battery can be recharged with the included AC charger or from an optional solar panel (not included). Includes solar connection cable and internal 8 Amp charge controller.

  3. What size solar panel (wattage) is needed to keep the battery fully charged with a 10-hr, sunny day?

    1. The recommended size is a 100 watt solar panel. (See Northern item below)
      There is not an exact answer due to factors which vary. The condition of the battery, the area of the country you live in because the power you can get from the sun is not the same in all areas as well as the time of the year because the angle of the sun changes with the seasons.

  4. Panel/ Controller?

    Can you recommend a solar panel? Do I need a controller or do I plug the panel directly into this box?

    1. The unit has a built in 8 amp charge controller. This will handle up to a 120 watt panel. Our item #24926 solar panel could be used with this power kit. You could just plug the panel directly into the built in solar connection cable.
