    1. The recommended battery to use for the inverter is a 12 volt deep cycle battery. The more amp hour battery you have the longer the battery will last. The inverter will put out 400 continuous watts to run an appliance. The battery can be charged while you are using the inverter. The hours it can run would depend on the wattage the appliance uses and how long it runs.
