    1. I need to bend 2 inch Sch40 Stainless Steel. Can this bender do that? What dies does it need?

      1. The MP9500 will bend 2" Sch 40 pipe with 2" dies (9565/9568/9569), but it lacks the tonnage for 2" Sch 40 stainless.

      1. The MetalPro tube bender would have a 3/4 HP motor. It is 115 volt and 20 amps.

    3. can it handle grade 8 steel?

      would this be able to handle grade 8 mild steel rod? trying to find an alterative to a truck shop ubolt bender machine. they are hard to come by.

      1. This item will be able to handle grade 8 steel. The tubing must stay within the minimum and maximum wall thickness for the specific outer diameter and the radius of the bend must also be within the unit’s parameters. We would advise contacting METALpro Corp for more assistance verifying the application will work well.

    4. What is the bend radius of 3/4 and 1 "rigid conduit?

      Also is there a die package for conduit?

      1. This bender can bend 3/4" rigid conduit to both a 3" and 4" radius. It can bend 1" rigid conduit to a 4" radius. These are centerline radii. Click the links below to view the 3/4" dies that will do a 3" radius. All 3 dies listed below are required to do the 3" radius (they will also do 1/2" rigid conduit). Dies for the 3/4" and 1" rigid conduit that do the 4" radius are item#'s: 971746, 971748, and 971750. Since these dies don't appear online, please call 1-800-221-0516 for price and availability. Also, a complete set of dies which will do 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", and 1-1/2" rigid conduit is available. This set doesn't appear online either, it's item# 971739. Please call for price and availability on that set as well.

    7. Looking at the metal pro bender Item number 9717372

      will this bender bend 1 1/4" x 2 rectangle 16 ga. @ 180 degrees with a 3 or 3 1/2 radius bending it the easy way, and will it bend it 45 degrees the hard way with the 1 1/4 up and down in the machine. and what dies would i need for it?

    9. What is the max wall thickness for bending 1 1/2" square steel tubing? Also, what die sets would be needed?

      1. The maximum wall thickness is .120" for the square steel tubing. The following dies are available through Northern Tool & Equipment sales department, call 800.221.0516: item numbers 971752 - 3" RAD Rotating Die, 971753 - 4" RAD Rotating Die, 971796 - 5"R Sq. Tube Rotating Die, and 971740 - 6" Sq.Tube Rotating Die. You will also need to use one of the following stationary or moving die with one of the dies sets listed above: the square stationary die, item number 971756 and the 1-1/4" & 1-1/2" Sq.Tube Moving die.

    10. Can this bender be used on rigid and emt conduits ?

      1. The tube bender can be used on rigid conduit. It cannot be used on EMT conduits, it is too thin.
