  1. Does its cuts grass?

    my dad is looking for a machine that can cut grass, to put it into bags and preserve the grass. to feed the cows. is this machine also useful for this?

    1. Never tried it, but suspect that grass (especially wet grass) would not feed through the screen very well and tend to clog it up.

    2. This is not a grass cutter, but it can mulch ( grind up grass) If your Dad wants to reduce size of grass clippings this can do so. Not really designed for this purpose.

    3. This machine does not cut grass. It is made to "mulch" yard waste (sticks leaves etc).

  4. What type of gas and out does it take?

    1. The fuel recommendation is a minimum of 87 octane. You may use gasoline with up to 10% ethanol (gasohol) or up to 15% MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether). SAE 30 is the recommended oil with in 40-104 degrees Fahrenheit. An oil chart per temperature is listed in the engine manual.

  5. Is there an oil reservoir for the axel of the chipper/shredder? (In addition to the one for the engine)

    1. This model would not be suitable for palm leaves. I was unable to locate a model suitable for this.

  8. Merry Mac chipper/shredder

    We have about 5 acres we would like to clear of brush and stumps.Would this be useful to us?Thank you.

    1. This chipper/spreader can do most of the job for you, however it is not designed for stumps, since it can only accept branches up to 2 7/8 inches thick. You would need to feed the brush and branches into the chute.

  10. Can an electric starter be added to LSC1100?

    I bought this shredder and I love it. Unfortunately I discovered that I don't have the strength to start it myself. Need to know if an electric starter can be added so I'm free to use when I want to use it. Thanks..
