Cameras do not need the internet to operate. However, an internet connection will be necessary if you wish to use a smartphone, tablet or computer to access features such as remote monitoring. This system connects directly and easily via included HDMI cable to most HD monitors and TVs, so you can watch live video feeds or review video footage. DVR connects to cameras with RG59 coaxial BNC cables which compress and store video footage captured from security cameras. 100% duty cycle hard drive is pre-installed and designed to work in a security environment, including simultaneous recording and playback from various streams. Lorex Cirrus app will help simplify and organize your life by keeping track of all your security cameras from anywhere in the world on any iOS or Android device. Other great features include accurate time stamps with NTP and daylight savings time; click-and-drag digital zoom in live view and playback; 2 video outputs (HDMI and VGA) to connect multiple monitors; and instant USB backup of live video from selected camera. Automatic firmware upgrade over the Internet ensures your system is up to date. The Lorex Cirrus app with 3-Step setup connects all your cameras and systems from any iOS or Android devices for motion push notifications and email alerts.
