Product Summary

The LiquiVac system creates a strong vacuum to draw oil right out of an engine into a holding tank for easy transport of the used oil to a recycling center. Simply insert the extraction hose into the dipstick tube, pump the handle 20 times, release the hose clamp and LiquiVac extracts the oil directly into its plastic holding tank. Works great for lawn and garden engines, go-karts, generators, ATVs and more.

  1. What if the small engine has an oil filter?

    Will it pull enough of the oil out hrough the dipstick tube to prevent the huge mess that occurs when the oil filter is removed off the side of the engine?

    1. After the first suction procedure, I would tip the mower so that the oil in the filter flows into the engine body before the second suck.

    2. No, the oil filter will always have a little oil left in it.

    3. This unit will pull enough oil out to prevent a large amount of residue when the filter is removed.

  2. Can this LiquiVac be used for gasoline?

    1. I wouldn't recommend it - it would degrade the seal inside the nozzle

  3. Will this unit pull gear oil? 80-90W?

    1. I only pulled lighter motor oil with it , but its very powerful. I wouldn't be surprised if it would pull that oil with no problem. Hope this helps.

    2. It will handle any type oil. The heavier oils may take a little longer to dispense and the farther the distance may also cause it to take a little longer, but should handle 3 feet.

    Where can I get a replacement siphon hose for this model?

    1. At this time, Northern Tool + Equipment does not carry replacement parts for this oil changing system. You will want to contact the manufacturer directly for replacement parts.

  5. Can it be used with brake fluid?

    When servicng brakes it would be helpful to have a way to empty the reservoir. Are the materials in this unit compatible with brake fluid?

  6. What is the outside diameter of the siphon hose?

    1. The outside diameter of the siphon hose on the LiquiVac Oil Changing System is .45" which fits the vast majority of small engines large dipstick tubes.

  7. Capacity

    I have a marine diesel with a sump capacity of 2.8 qts. Is this unit big enough? (I like the compact size) Or should I choose onme of the larger models?

    1. This tank holds up to .75 gallons so this would work for you. 2.8 quarts is equivalent to .70 gallons.
