  2. How do you get heavy equipment on this carrier? Do any of the sides fold down?

    1. The side rails on this cargo carrier do not fold down. The side rail height is 7". The overall height (from the bottom of the shank piece to the top of the rail) is 9". Depending on how you choose to install the base (shank) part that will add an additional 7" - 13" as well to the height. The equipment would need to be lifted up and placed inside the carrier. It is rated for a 300 pound capacity.
