  1. Is this motor reverseable?

    I need a 12 VDC motor that can spin a load that weighs roughly 350 lbs. from right to left. If this particular motor isnt capable of handling that do you carry one that is? Thank you- John

    1. Yes, polarities can be changed for desired rotation.

    2. This motor is reversible by switching the positive and negative feed. The motor MUST come to a complete stop prior to flipping the switch. An electric braking mechanism may be required for rapid switching. As for torque, these Leeson motors are probably plenty strong enough to move your 350 lb. load, but you can easily increase the motors torque by decreasing the diameter of its pulley in relation to the pulley attached to the load.

  4. how many soar pannels will i need to run this?

    1. The solar panels would not run the motor. The motor would run off of a 12 volt battery. You can use the solar panels to charge the battery. The more watts you use the faster charge time. You can add more panels to shorten the charge time.

  5. What is teh length and Diameter of the Motor

    Thsi has to go in a very tight spot. Current motor housing is 5 1/2 inces long and I need one that will fit that space.

    1. This motor is 14.75 inches in length. The rest of the dimensions are 11.5 in width and 8.25 inches in height.
