    Hello, is "Propane" the type of gas that is used with this Tig torch ?

    2. no pleas do not use Propane very dangerous not that kind of torch. it needs argon gas.

    3. Propane cannot be used as a shielding gas for this TIG torch. Argon or an argon-helium mixture are most commonly used as a shielding gas for TIG welding.

    When coupled with the Klutch 220SI Inverter welder #44726, does this TIG torch incorporate a pre-flow and post-flow of Argon gas to evacuate atmospheric contaminants ?

    1. This torch list a rating of 150 amps.

  5. Why is the Klutch TIG torch not recomended for aluminum?

    1. The Klutch welders that this torch is recommended for are DC only. To TIG weld aluminum, you need a welder that is AC. The Klutch multiprocess welder comes with a spool gun that can be used to weld aluminum.

    2. The Klutch welders that this TIG torch is compatible with are all DC TIG welders that aren't capable of DC TIG welding aluminum with or without this torch. Therefore, this torch is not capable of TIG welding aluminum either.

  6. What size is this torch?

    Someone else asked where to get replacement cups, etc. and received a less than helpful response. Does this Klutch torch match a series 17 sized torch? Thanks!

    1. Standard 17 and 26 series consumables all work with this. I have both series torches on purpose so that I can interchange parts.

    3 sizes of tungsten collets are included, what size tungsten are they designed to hold

      Collet 1.0, 1.6, and 2.0.

    2. This TIG torch includes 3 collet sizes: 1.0mm, 1.6mm, and 2.0 mm. The collet size needs to match the size of the tungsten you're welding with.

  9. Will this work with the Klutch MIG/Stick/TIG MP200iDV. Also, which foot pedal works with this torch and welder?

    1. This TIG torch is designed to connect to the Klutch ST-80i, Klutch ST-200i, Klutch Mig/Stick 220Si or other welders capable of TIG welding and use a 10-25 Dinse Style connector. We do not offer a foot pedal to work with the MP200iDV.

  10. Can this weld aluminum? I have the klutch mp140si if that makes a difference

    1. This TIG torch kit cannot be used to weld aluminum. Please see item #44453 for a spool gun that will work with your welder for aluminum welding.
