Product Summary

Protect workers, reduce fire risks, and improve productivity by storing flammable fuels and chemicals in code-compliant safety cabinets. Designed to meet OSHA and NFPA 30 standards, Sure-Grip® EX cabinets are constructed of sturdy 1 mm thick double-wall, welded steel with 38 mm of insulating air space for fire resistance. High-performance, self-latching doors close easily and securely for maximum protection under fire conditions. Fail-safe closing mechanism ensures three-point stainless steel bullet latching system works every time. For added security, U-Loc™ handle comes with a cylinder lock and key set or accepts an optional padlock. Haz-Alert™ reflective warning labels are highly visible under fire conditions or during power outages when illuminated with a flashlight. Patented SpillSlope® galvanized steel shelves direct spills to back and bottom of a 51 mm leakproof bottom sump. They adjust to 76 mm centres for versatile storage. Cabinets also feature dual vents with flame arresters, four adjustable self-levelling feet, grounding connector and trilingual warning label. Durable lead-free epoxy/polyester powder-coat finish provides excellent chemical resistance. These cabinets are FM-approved and come with a ten-year warranty. Available in manual close or self-close. Available in grey or red on request.

    1. We do have all of our Approvals and Compliance listed for our cabinets in our online catalog, pages 7-8. Our cabinets do not have a serial number listed on them.

    2. The 45 Gallon Flammable Cabinet (894520) is Complaint with OSHA, NFPA, IFC, and is FM approved.
      All of our cabinets will have a date code of when it was manufactured.

    1. We do not have a label that is applied to the product that states this information. Our cabinet 893003 is fire rated for 10 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

    1. Approved / Safe options for a Justrite cabinet with no keys
      1. Order factory replacement keys from Justrite (recommended)
      • Most Justrite safety cabinets use a keyed cam lock with a key code stamped on the lock face (often starting with “CH”, “C”, or similar).
      • An authorized owner can order replacement keys directly through:
      o Justrite customer service
      o An authorized Justrite distributor
      • This preserves warranty, FM/UL listing, and OSHA compliance.
      2. Replace the lock using a Justrite-approved kit
      • If keys are completely unavailable, Justrite sells direct replacement lock assemblies designed for specific cabinet models.
      • This keeps the cabinet compliant and avoids modification issues.
      3. Use a licensed commercial locksmith (with authorization)
      • In a workplace setting, companies often require:
      o Proof of ownership or management approval
      o A locksmith familiar with industrial safety cabinets
